Jae-Yeon Lim
B.C.L., LL.B., B.A. (HON.)
Jae specializes in immigration law and represents employers from diverse industries as well as individuals and families seeking temporary and permanent relocation to Canada. She also advises on various immigration matters, including but not limited to religious workers, employer compliance, and citizenship.
Jae is fluent in English, French and Korean. Her article on the Administrative Monetary Penalties was published in the Korean Daily Toronto newspaper and featured on the Korean Embassy's immigration forum and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency's websites. Most recently, she presented on various work permit options under Canadian immigration law, including the Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement, at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ottawa, Canada.
Jae has prior experience in corporate, commercial, real estate, wills and estate law. She represented refugee claimants as a volunteer of Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan's Immigration & Refugee Panel. Jae received a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the Faculty of Law at McGill University.
Jae serves on the Board of Directors of Korean Canadian Cultural Association and as an executive member of Ontario Bar Association's Citizenship and Immigration Section.
